"I came, I submitted, I bit the dust."

*seditliel's contest was the first contest I ever joined on dA. And I lost. I knew this was going to happen, since I was an amateur at photomanipulation back when I did those dreadful pictures that paid no justice to the originals.

I'm not sad about that, though; after all, I believe contests aren't really about winning. They're about putting yourself to test. Either through victory or failure, you succeed in gaining more experience. If it hadn't been for seditliel's contest, I could have been worse in photomanipulation, or would have even abandoned it.

What matters to me is that seditliel paid attention to me and put my pictures on her journal. That alone makes me proud to be a deviant. When you see your own works, your own babies, being shown off by somebody you haven't personally met, you feel that you put your little own touch to this magic world called the Internet.

In a few days, the winners for the *ManipulateThis' "Last Man Standing" and `Davenit's "Create A Feeling 3" contests will be announced. Wish me luck!

I joined the *hellas dA group! Sweet! You have no idea how glad I am to finally join a group for Greek deviants. If any of you is Greek and would like to join, watch *hellas and send them a note.

ABOUT MYSELF

<sub>I am a digital artist. The programs I use are Photoshop and Poser, and I've used Bryce in some of my older pics. My work is mostly experimental; in most cases, I'm not trying to make something specific, I'm just messing around with my collection of Photoshop plug-ins and its built-in effects. Once I think I'm done fiddling with a pic, I upload it on DA. Simple! I'm also a poet.

As of 2008, I have created more than two hundred pictures. I'll post the most recent ones on DA, as well as some of my old ones, which you will find in the category "Oldies" in my gallery.
